Groups
Sometimes we feel alone in our struggles. When situations start to feel overwhelming, it is easy to forget that other people have faced similar journeys. Well-meaning friends and family might say things that make your pain feel even deeper. You may feel like nobody understands.
Participating in a group can be a powerful way to gain support and address challenging life situations with others who are facing similar issues. I facilitate several different groups at various times throughout the year. If one of these groups is of interest to you, please contact me for me details.

every one of us. That's why it's a comfort
to go hand in hand."

Mind-Body Infertility Group
You want to have a child more than anything. In fact, this is something you and your partner have dreamed of for a long time. You thought it would be easy, but that hasn’t been your experience. The desire to have a child can be a psychologically and emotionally exhausting journey for those who are experiencing infertility.
This 10-week program is designed to complement and support women who are trying to conceive. The program is based on Dr. Alice Domar’s groundbreaking approach to applying mind-body medicine to infertility care. The program has been clinically proven to reduce psychological distress and increase conception rates by more than 50 percent.
Our group sessions will cover topics such as stress reduction, self care, fertility enhancing lifestyle behaviors, and much more. In this video, Dr. Domar discusses the program and the science behind it. You can also learn more about Dr. Domar’s work here.
Pregnancy Support Group
Pregnancy is a unique time in your life. It can be a joyful period as you anticipate and prepare for meeting your new baby. At the same time, it can also be stressful. Perhaps you are nervous about childbirth, parenting, or how your identity might evolve once you become a mother. A support group can help you move through pregnancy feeling supported and confident.
In my pregnancy support group, you will meet other women who are going through this exciting, complicated time of transition. The group focuses on enhancing well-being and reducing stress and anxiety during pregnancy. Through group sessions, I will act as your guide and encourage discussion of thoughts, feelings and concerns around pregnancy, body image, role transitions and relationship changes.
The group also promotes healthy attachment to the pregnancy, addresses questions about prenatal screening and other pregnancy related-decisions, and helps moms-to-be feel more prepared for birth and the postpartum period.
Pregnancy After Loss Group
For women who have lost a pregnancy or an infant, a subsequent pregnancy can be fraught with fear and anxiety. It can also trigger grief and trauma from previous losses. Often, well-meaning family and friends expect you to be happy and to embrace the pregnancy. It might seem like no one understands and you may feel alone at a time when you most need support.
My Pregnancy After Loss group is intended to bring together women on this journey so that they can share their feelings and connect with others who understand their fears. Through group discussions, you will feel validated and understood. You will learn about ways to calm your body and mind, to communicate with family and friends, and to take care of your needs so that you can attach to your pregnancy.
