Perhaps what you need is not therapy but coaching to help you in a particular area of your life. Maybe you are having difficulty making a decision or accomplishing certain short or long term goals? Maybe you are looking for help leading a healthier, more balanced life, or you want guidance during a transitional period or with particular relationships?
Coaching focuses on where you are, and where you want to go in the future. It is not intended to heal or work through things that have happened in the past. As your coach, I will work with you to dive into certain targeted areas of your life. Together, we will craft actionable plans to help you get the results you want, and the life you envision for yourself.
In addition to wellness and transitions coaching, which I describe below, I also provide coaching for personal/professional growth, managing work and/or family stress, parenting, relationship challenges, and educational/academic issues. I love coaching because it allows me to help people create long-lasting, life changing benefits, in a relatively short period of time. If there is an area of your life that you want to enhance or change, I hope you will contact me to learn more about my coaching services.
Wellness coaching deals with issues related to your overall health, including nutrition, fitness, sleep, and stress management. The goal is not to provide a quick fix, but to help you make lasting lifestyle changes that will help you feel well. As your wellness coach, I will help you develop a self-care program that is individually tailored to your needs. We will start where you are, and will identify short and long terms goals, taking into account food preferences, allergies, fitness level, family dynamics, budge, schedule, and other factors relevant to developing a plan that will work for you. We will explore potential obstacles, build upon your strengths, and make necessary adjustments as we go. My goal is to provide a compassionate and encouraging setting for you to explore what has been keeping you from having the health you want, and to help you develop a practical, workable plan that will enable you to implement the changes you seek.
Every life transition asks us to let go of a past way of thinking or doing. We are given the opportunity to replace the old way of being with something new. Transitions can be positive or negative, planned or unexpected. Change can stir up many emotions, including fear, stress, and excitement, to name just a few. At times, these emotions, and the process of change, can feel daunting or overwhelming. As your coach, I can provide support, help you explore your feelings, and help you determine how you want to move forward. Everything from starting or ending a relationship, moving, changing or starting a career, retirement, beginning a family, becoming an “empty nester,” receiving a medical diagnosis, or any change that feels significant to you, is worth exploring and working through. Together, we can look at what the change means to you, how it is affecting your life today, what you want out of life in the future. Ultimately, we will develop a plan to help you take stock of your life, make adjustments and set goals, and move forward in ways that work for you.
